As part of our vision to reach millions of households across Kenya, Ambulex is recruiting County Community Partnerships and Scale Associates who will support household mobilization, community engagement, and scale-up of emergency medical services and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention initiatives at county level.

Position Purpose

The County Community Partnerships and Scale Associates will serve as Ambulex's county representatives and community mobilization leads. They will work closely with the Public Sector Partnerships and Scale Leads at Ambulex, National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO), Nyumba Kumi Clusters, Community Health Promoters (CHPs), health facilities, community organizations, and local leaders to drive household registration, community sensitization, and awareness on emergency preparedness, Gender-Based Violence prevention, maternal health emergencies, and access to emergency medical services.

The role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and mobilization skills who can effectively translate awareness activities into measurable household enrolment and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct community sensitization sessions on GBV prevention and referral pathways, Emergency Medical Services, maternal and child health emergencies, mental health emergencies, first aid and emergency preparedness, and community safety and resilience.
• Work closely with Nyumba Kumi Clusters, Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, Village Elders and Community Health Promoters to increase community uptake.
• Organize and coordinate household registration drives and community outreach activities.
• Ensure continuous growth in the number of registered households within assigned counties.
• Promote utilization of Ambulex products and services among communities.
• Support county-level implementation of Ambulex's public sector scale strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with county governments, health facilities, NGOs, CBOs, faith-based organizations and community leaders.
• Participate in county stakeholder forums and community meetings.
• Support implementation of partnerships involving NGAO structures and Nyumba Kumi Clusters.
• Support identification and referral of GBV survivors and vulnerable households.
• Strengthen linkages between communities, health facilities and emergency responders.
• Promote survivor-centred approaches in community engagements.
• Support emergency awareness campaigns and public education activities.
• Maintain accurate household registration records.
• Track community engagement activities and outcomes.
• Provide county intelligence and insights that inform scale and growth.
• Maintain updated databases of key stakeholders and community structures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achieve monthly and quarterly household registration targets.
• Maintain agreed conversion rates from sensitization activities to household subscriptions.
• Conduct a minimum number of community sensitization sessions per month.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key county stakeholders and Nyumba Kumi structures.
• Submit timely and accurate weekly and monthly reports.
• Support renewal and retention of registered households.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

Diploma or Degree in any of the following: Public Health, Community Health, Social Work, Nursing, Community Development, Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, Health Promotion or any related field.

Experience

• Minimum two years' experience in community mobilization, health promotion or public health programmes.
• Previous experience as a Community Health Promoter (CHP) will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with county governments, NGOs, CBOs or community structures will be an added advantage.
• Experience in sales, community outreach or household mobilization will be highly desirable.
